Flora and Fauna

Royal Holloway is proud of its leafy campus and those wandering along the paths through its park-like surrounds are likely to spot signs to the Living Campus Trail advertising the presence of Roe Deer, Goldcrest, Kingfisher, Emperor Dragonfly, Tawny Owl, Badger and Stag Beetle.  One creature not advertised though, is the rat.

Rats are commonly seen at Royal Holloway: you can see them scurrying between the buildings, on the lawns and even in the accommodation.  In fact sightings are so common that there is even a dedicated page on Instagram.  Checkout:

Royal Holloway really is a living campus.
