Post 60 – 30/04/24 – Election Special (3 Minute Read)
This Thursday is Election Day in Egham Town & Englefield Green West. (There are no seats being contested in Englefield Green East.)
As you may know, we believe the solution to the RHUL problem is multifaceted. One very important part of the jigsaw is to have in post councillors that will be proactive in taking on the RHUL issue.
If you want to use your vote to help solve the problems of HMOs and ASB, these are the candidates that we think you should support:
Englefield Green West
Amanda Willis is an Independent that has put the RHUL problem at the top of her campaign. We know Amanda well and know she is committed to finding solutions to the problems as much as us. We recommend that you give your vote to her if you live in Englefield Green West. A copy of Amanda’s manifesto is below.
Egham Town
We have tried to make contact with Geeta Moudgil, also an Independent, through a number of channels but unfortunately we have not been able to meet her. Her manifesto is not so strong on the RHUL issue but we recommend that you consider giving her your vote if you live in Egham Town. A copy of Geeta’s manifesto is below.

If you care about the RHUL issue, we think that these are the candidates to support. Last year we were successful in turning two Runnymede Conservative seats. (The Runnymede Conservatives have been a concern of ours in the past and still remain a concern today. For those that are relatively new to this feed, I have put a link in the Notices section below to a News Article that we published around this time last year that explains more.) If we can turn one more Conservative seat in Englefield Green West this week, and retain an Independent in Egham Town, we will have helped change the makeup at Runnymede Borough Council further. Currently, even despite the Conservatives losing their majority last year, they still possess too much power.
Best wishes,
